You can change from the default Windows screen saver to other screen savers that are packaged with Windows. To do this, right click on an empty space in your desktop and click Properties. Open the Screen Saver tab. Select a screen saver from the drop down list. You can also customize your screen saver to be a picture slide show by selecting My Pictures Slideshow. This will automatically get the pictures in your My Pictures folder and display the pictures whe the screen saver is activated. Click on Settings to change the screen saver's properties. You can set how long each picture appear in the screen, the scale in proportion to the screen, transition effects, stretching small pictures, display filenames and allow scrolling with the keyboard. Best of all, you can set the folder so that only a select photos will be shown. Click on Browse and select the folder of pictures that you want to use. Set the time for your screen saver to be activated. You can preview it without waiting for the screen saver to activate, but the preview will automatically close when you move your mouse. Click on Apply to set the changes you made.
